Lypossage Zones

Parts (zones) of the body that respond well to Lypossage techniques

Zone 1

Refers to the lower body, including the hips, thighs, buttocks, and lower abdomen. Expected outcomes for this part of the body include dimension loss, structural improvements (your posture and overall body carriage), a diminished look of ugly cellulite, improvement to both muscle and skin tone, a certain cleansing of the lymphatic system along with improved blood circulation.

Zone 2

Includes the upper abdomen, back, decollete (chest and lower neck area) and arms. This zone targets improving posture, dimension loss in the arms and abdomen, toning and firming of the bust area, and again an improvement in blood circulation and lymphatic flow.

Zone 3

Is performed on the head, neck and face. Lypossage can provide dramatic results in the lifting and toning of sagging tissues in the lower face and neck, diminishing the appearance of wrinkles and significantly improving skin tone and texture. Truly a natural face lift without surgery and scaring.

Lypossage Pricing

  • As we have featured there are three (3) body zones to which Lypossage can successfully be applied.

  • True success depends on the client’s stick to it ‘ness, an all-in attitude.

  • The time requirement is 18 sessions (½ hour each) allotted to each zone that the client wishes to address, meeting with your massage therapist anywhere from two to four times a week.

  • The universally published charge for each zone is $1895, figured as a percentage of the cost of liposuction, the invasive surgery done in a hospital setting costing tens of thousands of dollars and leaving possible complications and pain.

A one zone treatment typically takes 18 (1/2 hour) sessions.

Typically clients can choose between the following:

                2 (1/2 hour session) per week X 9 weeks  =  18 sessions

                3 (1/2 hour session) per week X  6 weeks  =  18 sessions

                4 (1/2 hour session) per week  X  4.5 weeks  = 18 sessions

Multiple zones would require each session bumped up to be one hour (2 zones) or one and half hour (3 zones).  Together, the therapist and client, would consult on how best to personalize your schedule to accomplish your set goals.

Due to scheduling of multiple clients and the availability of the therapist, we generally take up to 10 clients for a 6 to 9 week program. Clients can choose their scheduling for that time period. Clients can choose to take the full 9 weeks for their 18 sessions or they can choose a shorter program of 4 1/2 weeks.

FAQs about Lypossage

1.  Why do I have cellulite, lumps, and bulges?

The fatty tissue of your body acts as a toxic waste disposal site where substances that it cannot metabolize are dumped. This congested tissue has poor blood circulation (you’ll note that cellulite prone areas are cool to the touch). Lymphatic flow may also be restricted by tight undergarments and pantyhose. The cellulite layer is a physiological fatty layer that is supposed to be there. The extent to which it is visible can be affected by several variables including, genetic predisposition, dietary habits, exercise habits, and hormones among others.

2.   What is the origin of the Lypossage technique?

The Lypossage treatment is a specific blend of massage modalities that are derived from physical therapy, including Lymphatic Drainage and Myofascial Release. It was created by Charles W. Wiltsie III, LMT, today an internationally recognized massage therapy educator and practitioner. Mr. Wiltsie conducted a year-long study of 100 female subjects that documented the effectiveness of the technique. The study was published in Massage and Bodywork Magazine in 1999. In the study, notable results included an average inch loss of 1.5 inches per thigh and a cumulative average inch loss of almost 7 inches.

3.   How does Lypossage work?

Lypossage cleanses the body of stagnant, stalled lymphatic fluid (Lymphedema) that can create the lumps and bulges we know as figure imbalance. The deeper Lypossage strokes break up adhesions under the skin that can contribute to the dimpled, uneven appearance of cellulite. Lypossage also tones the muscles, lifting and firming sagging tissue.

4.   Is it safe?

Lypossage is a non-invasive, natural health treatment that helps to cleanse the body of toxins and retained fluids. Most clients find that Lypossage enhances their energy and mental clarity. While there are some contraindications for specific medical conditions, Lypossage can be safely experienced by most healthy individuals. It is much safer than surgical procedures such as liposuction. However, for those who opt for the more dramatic surgical result, Lypossage can be very beneficial before and after the liposuction procedure.

5.   Who can perform my Lypossage treatments?

Lypossage Practitioners are specially trained massage and body professionals who have learned this extraordinary hands-on-technique and are certified to practice under the Lypossage name.

6.   What about the Machines that do this too. Why should I choose Lypossage?

While both approaches deliver gratifying results, Lypossage appeals to the person who prefers a treatment performed by human touch, rather than an unfeeling cold machine. Practitioners of Lypossage must be trained and certified, first as a massage therapist and then specifically schooled in Lypossage techniques. There are no such credentials required for the operators of the body-contouring machines.

7.  What Parts of the Body Respond to Lypossage?

Lypossage is performed in three body zones. Zone 1 is the lower body, including the buttocks, hips, thighs and lower abdomen. Zone 2 is the upper body, including the arms, upper abdomen, chest, collar bone area and back. Zone 3 includes the face, neck and head. Lypossage has shown some of the most dramatic effects on areas prone to sagging, such as the lower face and neck, as well as the buttocks and upper thighs.

8.  How are my treatments scheduled?

Each Lypossage session lasts about 30 minutes and are performed in a series of 18 sessions, meeting 2-3 times a week over the course of 6-9 weeks. It is important to note that for most clients, it takes 8-10 sessions before the results of the initial treatments become noticeable. After that, progress can often be quite dramatic. CMBW will enhance your results with interval dead sea mud body wraps.

9.   What are some typical results and how will I know what mine are?

While results vary, cumulative dimension loss over five key measuring points in Zone 1 averaged 6.75 inches in the original study. It is not uncommon to find cumulative inch loss of up to 11 inches. One client in the study lost almost 3 inches in her waist alone. Most women find that they will drop one or two dress sizes without a significant reduction in their weight. Your Lypossage Practitioner can weigh, measure, and photograph you before you begin your program and at key intervals to track your progress, but only at your request.

10.  Is there a special diet or exercise program?

Though the individuals in the Lypossage study were restricted from initiating any new diet or exercise program during their treatments, we find that most clients become so inspired by their Lypossage results that they readily adopt lifestyle changes that help them make progress more rapidly. A diet rich in whole, organic foods and regular body movement will contribute to a terrific outcome. Avoiding foods containing refined sugars, preservatives, hormones, caffeine, and salt will keep your newly detoxified body in the best shape possible. Drinking significant amounts of water is also key to keeping the body hydrated and cleansed.

11.   What should I do on my own to enhance the results of my treatment?

We recommend that you follow an at-home body care regime, including specialized Lypossage treatment products to stimulate circulation in cellulite-prone areas, exfoliate and hydrate the skin, as well as improve its tone and elasticity. CMBW will assist you in additional home treatments to enhance your results.

12.  What do I need to do to maintain my results?

Maintenance programs will be customized to the needs of each individual client. At the completion of a Lypossage series, your Lypossage Practitioner will sit down with you to do a final consultation, including going over your results with you and providing you with a thoughtful recommendation on what your maintenance should be. Continuing with the Home Care Protocol and a program of monthly or bi-monthly maintenance treatments will help you retain your results.

13.  How do I get started?

To get started, schedule a private consultation today with your Certified Lypossage Practitioner! You can find out more about your suitability for the program and have all your questions answered.

14.   How much does it cost?

There are 18 sessions for each zone, meeting two to four times per week. Typically, the total for the 18 series of sessions is $1895, which can be paid with a credit card, cash or check up-front. Prices are comparable to sessions with an Endermologie machine. At CMBW we have special pricing, one zone is $1800, two zones are $3000.00, and all three zones for $4000.00. Includes consultations, a “dead sea mudwrap” at 6 week intervals along with follow-up consultations and maintenance sessions.
